Which one are you? Growing up I aquired many tastes like eating Aku, an exotic dish that many would rather starve than eat or Anu Nchi, a bush meat delicacy that some love but the first time I had an English breakfast at Omenma Hotels I couldn’t understand why anyone would choose that over our local dish of Ji and Ukwa. So I guess I am an exotic/local dish lover.
On the other hand, my girlfriend who I had the English Breakfast with, won’t stop talking about it. We have gone back to Omenma Hotels 3 times because of their continental dish. Eggs, bacon, sausages, grilled tomatoes, fish, baked Beans with toast or fried Bread was all I heard from her.
But surely, no one can survive on that, I would be hungry again in minutes, I thought. Give me fufu with thick draw soup and lots of orishirishi and I’m a happy man.
The good thing is that the hotel could provide all our food needs. So my girlfriend had cereal and I had jollof rice and tasty chicken. And we were at peace with the world.
So I ask again, which are you? Exotic, continental or local disk?
